MEET DR. MELISSA DAZA

Dr. Daza earned her Bachelor of Science in Economics and Biology from the University of Illinois before achieving her Doctor of Dental Surgery at Northwestern University Dental School. She further expanded her skillset through a postdoctoral residency program in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at the University of California, San Francisco, and later completed the Dental Sleep Medicine Mini-Residency program at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.

Dr. Daza belongs to many professional organizations including the American Dental Association, Chicago Dental Society, Illinois State Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry, American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, Academy of Facial Esthetics, American Academy of Physiological Medicine & Dentistry, The Breathe Institute and Mommy Dentist in Business.

Her love for dentistry stems from her appreciation for both medicine and art. The most rewarding part of her career is the deep relationships she has built with her patients over the years. She takes pride in listening to their concerns and collaborating with them to find the best treatments. Dr. Daza views herself as a partner in her patients’ oral health journey, helping them achieve not only a stunning smile, but also improved overall well-being.

Outside of work, Dr. Daza enjoys doing hot yoga, Pilates, tennis, running and snow skiing as often as she’s able to. Dr. Daza is married, and together, they have a daughter in medical school. She and her husband enjoy exploring Chicago’s vibrant restaurant scene, attending theater shows and taking long walks with their Miniature Australian Shepherd.
