Job Title: Dental Assistant

Position Overview:
As a Dental Assistant at Modern Smiles, you’ll play a crucial role in delivering top-tier dental services while ensuring a positive patient experience. You’ll assist our dentists with a variety of procedures, manage patient flow, and help maintain an organized and sterilized clinical environment. Responsibilities:

  • Assist dentists during a variety of procedures, including exams, fillings, extractions, and cleanings.
  • Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment.

As a Dental Hygienist at Modern Smiles, you’ll be an integral part of our team, helping patients achieve optimal oral health through preventative care, education, and gentle treatment. You will work alongside our skilled dentists in a state-of-the-art facility, providing high-quality hygiene services while ensuring a positive and relaxing experience for our patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments.
  • Take and develop dental X-rays.
  • Provide patient education on proper oral hygiene techniques, diet, and preventive care.
  • Assess patient oral health and update medical records.
  • Assist in developing personalized treatment plans in collaboration with the dentist.
  • Sterilize and maintain instruments, and ensure a clean and organized treatment environment.
  • Maintain patient comfort and ensure a relaxing, positive experience.

Qualifications:

  • Valid dental hygiene license in the state of Illinois.
  • Associate’s degree in Dental Hygiene or equivalent.
  • Experience in dental hygiene preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.

You’ll play a vital role in creating a positive and professional first impression, managing office operations, and delivering excellent customer service. This career requires a multitasker who is able to handle administrative duties, manage patient schedules, and contribute to a smooth, efficient office environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients warmly and check them in for their appointments.
  • Manage patient scheduling, including confirming appointments and rescheduling as needed.
  • Answer phone calls, respond to patient inquiries, and provide information about services.
  • Verify patient insurance and assist with billing and payment processing.
  • Maintain patient records and ensure they are up-to-date.
  • Coordinate with the dental team to ensure a smooth patient flow.
  • Ensure the front office area is organized, clean, and welcoming.
  • Assist with other administrative tasks as needed to keep the practice running efficiently.

Qualifications:

As the Office Manager at Modern Smiles, you will be the backbone of our practice, overseeing the daily operations and ensuring the office runs efficiently. You will be responsible for managing staff, patient schedules, and finances, and providing exceptional customer service to both patients and team members. The ideal candidate is a highly organized leader with excellent communication skills and a passion for creating an outstanding experience for both our patients and staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the dental office, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
  • Manage and lead the front desk team, including scheduling, training, and providing ongoing support.
  • Handle patient inquiries, appointment scheduling, and follow-up calls.
  • Coordinate patient flow and ensure the office maintains efficient operations.
  • Manage office supplies and inventory, ordering as needed.
  • Ensure accurate patient billing and insurance verification, working closely with the dental team to resolve any discrepancies.
  • Develop and implement office policies and procedures to improve efficiency and patient satisfaction.
  • Monitor financials, including collections, payments, and insurance processing.
  • Maintain a positive, professional, and welcoming environment for both staff and patients.
  • Assist with staff recruitment, onboarding, and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including HIPAA.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an office manager or in a similar administrative role, preferably in a dental or healthcare setting.
